There does seem to be a tendency in modern humans to seek to find justifications for considering ourselves to be unique and special with respect to all other forms of life, even it now appears, with respect to ourselves.

Thanks for trying to tie many theories and viewpoints together. I have two books titled “the last Neanderthal”. My 7 year old grandson asked why I have two books with the same title. I told him that rack book has different information! He accepted that.
